Butternut Butterbee


Butterbee produces butternuts that weigh around 1kg to 1.2kg. The flesh is nice and firm and tastes almost sweet. The skin turns a almost golden tan brown colour when ripe.

Butternut Butterbird


Butterbird is a larger butternut that produces fruits between 2kg to almost 3kg in size. The flesh quality in Butterbird is exceptional and stores well after harvest.

Butternut Clone


Clone is a butternut with dark and light green stripes that packs beautifully as a baby butternut. If grown to full maturity it will reach a weight of 2.5-3.0 kg. When mature, Clone has delicious sweet deep orange flesh. Because of a very vigorous plant Clone has little trouble with disease pressure although it is always advisable to act preventatively.

Daffodil is a yellow skinned, yellow fleshed butternut that starts life yellow and ends yellow. Daffodil has a small seed cavity. It is well suited to the baby veg segment.

Butternut Destiny


Destiny is a hybrid runner butternut that is shaped like the good old standard Waltham with fruit that weighs between 1.2 - 1.5 kg. Destiny is very uniform in fruit shape resulting in higher yields. Destiny should be seeded at 12m per ha. Destiny shows a natural tolerance to mildew.

Tan is a hybrid runner butternut shaped like a ball with fruit that weigh 500 grams. Tan has a buff skin with deep orange sweet flesh. Tan is ideally suited to stuffing. Tan should be seeded at 12 m per ha.

Butternut Triumph


Triumph is an early hybrid runner butternut that is shaped like Waltham with fruit that weighs between 0.9 - 1.1 kg. Triumph has fine textured, sweet, deep orange flesh. Triumph is very uniform in shape resulting in very mostly Grade 1 fruits. Triumph should be seeded at 12m per ha. Being early, Triumph shows a natural tolerance to infection.

Butternut Waltham Select


Waltham Select is our selection of the good old standard Waltham. It has been rouged over the last couple of years for uniformity in fruit shape and size and overall plant healthy. It produces butternuts that weigh around 1.2kg to 1.5kg. The flesh is nice and firm and has a brilliant butternut taste. The skin turns a almost golden tan brown colour when ripe.

Berbe is a medium dark green Baby Marrow that can be used in the local, export pre pack and also processing sectors. It has a vigorous open plant with minimal spines. Berbe has long picking stems which makes it very easy to pick. Berbe can be seeded at 10–12 m per ha. Berbe has resistance to Zylcv, Wmv11, Slcv & Pm2. Berbe was selected as a backup should Obsidian not be available.
